Jannaty Women's Social Society was established in 2010 with a vision to empower women and girls from disadvantaged BAME backgrounds so that they can improve their quality of life and those around them, resulting in stronger and developed communities.
We do this through courses, workshops, training, counselling and coaching amongst other activities.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
To establish a friendly hub for the community
Jannaty provides a space for its members to come together, interact, learn, develop and grow. As well as our courses and activities the Jannaty charity boutique is inviting and has seen people from all backgrounds enjoy a good bargain. It also generates income to support Jannaty’s activities and showcase pieces produced by its members such as arts and crafts and garments
We Need Your Support To Make a Difference
To remove barriers
Jannaty wants to remove the barriers to enable women and girls to be independent and bring about positive change in society, including barriers through language and skillset.
The majority of Jannaty members are of BME backgrounds however, Jannaty welcomes women and girls from all walks of life. Due to the lack of knowledge with regards to the English language, job seeking skills, lack of confidence, qualification and the like, women have felt held back from pursuing their personal and professional development. We focus on tackling the root causes; whether it’s domestic issues, lack of work experience, interpersonal skills and so forth, to ensure our members are confident and equipped with the necessary knowledge in addressing their challenges.
